Parking Lot TamPontificating

This is a conversation overheard in the parking lot outside a San Diego natural foods store... It's a gem.

Environmental Activist: (Catching a man exiting the store) Hello sir. We're here with (will remain unamed) environmental organization. We're recruiting members for our organization and are asking for your help.

Man: (In jest) The environment? That's so last year.

Environmental Activist: (Confused, but laughing) Last year? So what's this year?

Man: This year's all about tampons.

Of course we Mission Fairies do not believe that environmental work is so last year, in fact, it's been a big part of our mission here all along. But, we are glad that at the end of our trip, a man can walk out of a store and know about chlorine-free feminine care and not hesitate to say the word "tampon" out loud.  Maybe we are seeing a wave of raised consciousness about menstruation and the products we use everyday without a second thought? We can hope...

Until next time,
MF's
