SEVEN FUND stands for Social Equity Venture Fund. The name is inspired by Michael Fairbank's Framework of the "Seven Forms of Capital" and by the number seven, which has positive associations in various cultures around the world.

Thus it seemed fitting for Seventh Generation to submit an entry to Seven Fund's Cinema Prosperite' video contest. They were looking for videos that show the story of an entrepreneur engaged in for-profit, sustainable, and ethical business practices and tells the story of what odds this person has overcome, what impact they have had on the world, and how they've managed to achieve their goals.
